The dorm rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and ample storage. The shared bathrooms were well-maintained and provided hot water round the clock. I particularly appreciated the variety of activities and tours organized by the hostel, allowing me to explore the beauty of Siargao Island. The hostel's commitment to being environmentally friendly is commendable, even if it means bringing your own toilet paper. While the road leading to the hostel could use improvement, the experience and connections made at Hiraya Surf are definitely worth it. I highly recommend this hostel to solo travelers seeking a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The location of this hostel was perfect for celebrating New Year's. It was right by the beach, so we had a great view of the fireworks and enjoyed a festive atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family. They even organized a New Year's party for all the guests, which was a lot of fun. Plus, the hostel had comfortable beds and clean facilities.
The noise level. The New Year's party went on late into the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
